TRS Community Communique #1: A Quiz

Hello and welcome to my first community article where I will try and bring fun and exciting content, deliver information for new and returning players and hope to increase engagement and participation of all of us in the eUK community.

eRepublik got you down? Whether you’re trying to roleplay British Aristocracy but the adornments in your Birmingham flat is killing the vibe; attempting to grow a moustache like Jacques Clouseau but your facial decoration is much more likely to get you on the new hit show To Catch A BBC Presenter; or you’ve lost an election by 0 votes. Here’s a quiz to lift your spirits!

The quiz is on the topic of community. Each question will list 5 ‘things’ and you will have to deduce what they have in common. Please message me (Temujin) your answer. Every correct answer will get you 100 Q7 Guns, and I will be adding the full list of answers to this article in 48 hours.

Solution: They have all stepped foot on the Moon. (If you don’t subscribe to the theory that it’s actually a hologram)

All Answers in Bold : The are all Landlocked Nations

2. Kenya, Indonesia, Colombia, Maldives, Gabon
All these nations are found along the line of the Equator

3. Mexico, Djibouti, Panama, Monaco, Kuwait
Their Capital Cities all contain their nations name

Sport: (For a bonus points feel free to write a dissertation on whether Ronaldo or Messi is the better player in the comments)

4. Cricket, Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Rugby Union and Polo
They are all sports that have been removed from the Summer Olympic Games

5. Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ferenc Puskas, Robbie Keane Edin Dzeko
They are all their nations top goal scorer

6. Gary Kasparov, Tiger Woods, Stephen Hendry, Novak Djokovic, Phil Taylor
They have all spent the longest as World Number 1 in their respective sport.

Film: (The answer is not films that would be improved with the addition of Keanu Reeves)

7. Grand Hotel, Driving Miss Daisy, Argo, Green Book and CODA
They all have the dinstiction of winning Best Picture while their Director was not nominated in the Best Director Catergory

8. The Exorcist, Django, Human Centipede 2, Reservoir Dogs and The Evil Dead
They were all films banned within the United Kingdom

9. Citizen Kane, Dances with Wolves, Million Dollar Baby, A Star is Born, By the Sea
They were all directed by the lead or supporting lead actor

Animals: (The answer is not animals that Charles Darwin ate for some reason)

10. Peregrine Falcon, Wild Boar, Brown Rat, Argentine Ant and Barn Owl
They are all one of the few animals outside of humans to inhabit every continent except for Antarctica

11. Electric Eel, Honey Badger, Horned Toad, Red Panda and Mantis Shrimp
They all are named after a animal group with which they do not belong to

12. Fruit Fly, Squirrel-Tailed Monkey, Mice, Garden Spider and Steppe Tortoise
These are all animals that have been sent to Space
