Spam Wars: A New Hope (Election Competition)

Day 5,767, 10:41 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Garth Lidlington

Firstly, before I go onto the main point of this article, I would like to take a minute to thank Huey George for his tenure as Country President. The nature of the game shifts and ebbs and can catch up with the best of us at times so enjoy taking a step back!

Off the back of Huey’s decision to step down, it has given us an opportunity to have a fresh and exciting Country President election between completely new candidates! Personally, I have found it invigorating to know a new government is on its way and exciting to see fresh campaigns.

That all being said, I am here to state the case for a Spam government and cabinet!

After a close internal election between AMD and Betafoxtrot, we saw AMD come out on top as the Spam candidate for CP. In my eyes, both of these candidates were more than worthy of the candidacy and I was genuinely stressing at the prospect of making a tie break decision.

I have known AMD, both in game and personally, for quite a while now. Eating ropey KFC chicken after a wrestling event is something that bonds you for life! The one thing I have learnt from AMD’s character is his passion for eRep and, more specifically, for politics. It is inevitable that a large player base on a game with a political module may lead to clashes of ideology, politics and even personalities. But I have been witness on many occasions to AMD engaging in discussions of every nature considerately, constructively and in the spirit of collaboration. I know that AMD will do everything in his power to reach across divides, build consensus and ensure the country continues to run smoothly in it's transition from Huey’s time in office.

TRS has been working on policy for months, and a Spam president will mean a return to big, beefed up government with an ambitious portfolio of ideas; guaranteeing contact and support with new players; increased focus on foreign affairs; delivery and automation of reward programs; enhanced reporting to Congress and the list goes on. It is safe to assume that people will be working to implement a whole raft of ideas across previous manifestos to make the eUK the top destination for full bodied engagement in all of eRep's modules! A vote for Spam is a vote very well spent.

Lastly, I would also like to wish Judas well in his election campaign, whatever the outcome may be on the 5th, a return to competitive elections is a welcome change in Spam HQ!

Where’s Woldy Competition

Woldy can't stay still. He's on holiday yet again, and so we are back with another Election Day competition. Simply guess where Woldy is in the picture for a chance to win 500 Q7 tanks!

Be as precise as you like but as a minimum please name a locality such as a town or city, using county or country doesn't count! Once the election is over entries will be captured and whoever is closest to the actual location will win. (This will be determined not as the crow flies but in how many miles a taxi would have to drive to go fetch him from your named location!).

Don't be shy, guess away!
