NnK: Congress Elections Results
Nihon no Koe
Election day has passed and the results are here.
I'm sure many of you have already taken a look at the results but the NnK will list the elected here too, along with some quotes from both the successful and unsuccessful candidates. You will find the list at the bottom of the article.
Unauthorised Elected and Corruption:
Two unauthorised candidates succeeded in securing a seat in congress earlier today. Martin Sileno won a seat in Chubu against authorised candidates Nanao and Soldat, whilst Sarkastik won a seat in Chungcheongbuk-do against authorised candidate Kijuju. Whether these unauthorised elected turn out to be the unanimously dubbed 'gold-diggers' is something only time will tell.
The Japanese Elections Commissioner is confident that we will see a decline in unauthorised candidates with more community effort. Stating "With the right amount of funding and organization of a reserve voter list, I am confident the JEC can stop these candidates", he remains strong in his resolve to create a more active and prosperous Japan.
As many of you know, the issue of the integrity and validity of elections has been raised in some recent newspaper articles and comments. Japan's Market Surveillance official, Akki, has commented that he "saw too much corruption in this election". The Japanese government disapproves the buying of votes; with organisations such as Kokawa Jinja, there is no real need to be overcome by sheer greed.
Japanese Elections Commission:
The government will be working with the Elections commission more closely next month to ensure the best and fairest results.
Several attempts to combat unauthorised candidates this month were thwarted with simple man power. KITA Ikki, the current Commissioner, tried to organise a small group of like-minded individuals to cast their votes for authorised candidates but wasn't as effective as he had hoped since some of the people he had contacted were unable to reach the polling station in time due to various natural phenomenon such as thunder storms that also admittedly knocked out some internet connections at the same time.
Thoughts from candidates:
ISP President, Tohru, who ran in Kinki with her long term friend and OP President, Geno Garon was frustrated and upset to hear that he had been unsuccessful in obtaining a seat in congress. Geno Garon has been a long term resident in Japan and has contributed to it's development ever since he first arrived here from the USA. Unfortunately, the NnK hasn't been able to contact him to share his thoughts on the election here- it has been rumoured that he is wrestling crocodiles that have taken sanctuary in some nuclear cooling pipes (just meters away from a nuclear power plant) to relieve the stress and disappointment of these elections.
Reiji Mitsurugi of the ISP, in his first congress election, was successful in securing a seat in Gangwon-do earlier today. With ISP claiming majority seats, Reiji was confident that a "A new era is dawning on Japan, and that is the era of the Righteous Nation".
Yusuke, another congress fledgling, failed to obtain a seat in Tohoku despite the effort made to create his congress presentation. When the NnK talked to him shortly after the results were released, he said it was a "Disappointing but humorous defeat xD"- a modest and respectable response from a committed Japanese citizen.

I believe this congress will be the greatest in Japan's history thus far. The age of the Righteous Nation is indeed upon us, as we look to the future with hopeful eyes. The foreigners have failed in their attempts at subversion and Japan, united with Korea, now has true self-determination.
You have forgotten the mighty T Rex as a winning unauthorized candidate! How could you miss such a large and magnificent beast?!
@T Rex: You weren't on my unauthorised list or my authorised list 😛
Same with emaipi.
We'll try to get it 100% correct next month so you can really be unauthorised if you want!
Congrats on winning a seat though. I'd like to see you participating in congress activities in the future.

Very well done article. 🙂
Nice article!Congratz to all 🙂
thank you and good luck to all of us that made it and sorry to those that didnt
voted and great article
It's true, a storm caused an 運転見合わせ (postponed train operation) and one of the voters could not arrive on time to prevent sarkastik from winning. Also, it turns out that emaipi was a rogue candidate as well.
In the future, I hope to have a larger pool of reserve voters to draw upon, and the organization will cover the cost of their moving tickets instead of me paying for them personally.
Special thanks to no1kevlin and rikugun hare for donations.
KITA Ikki
-Commissioner, JEC
I have come back from wrestling radioactive crocodiles, and though I am understandably upset that the elections did not go my way, such is life, and I move on from here. I will still valiantly serve Japan and South Korea as SECDEF. Congratulations to all congress runners, winners or not, for running a great campaign.
~ Geno Garon
well... obviously one of the unauthorized congressmen is already diligently proposing stupid laws.
Further to the above - now he has run away as we all knew he would. Why didn't the KMT broadcast their opposition? That is the question I am left asking.
My second running, my second lost... I'll bear with as long as the result is good for Japan!
Congratulations to all winners!
Losing 2 candidates is not that bad. That means we still have 95% of congress. When I first started running we were left with between 70%-75% right away. This is a huge improvement, We are not perfect, we never will be, but we should look on this as a success rather than a disappointment.
