Congress

Congress Spokesperson or a Government Newspaper
This topic in Congress has been wrapped up recently; as you can see, Nihon no Koe and the position of Secretary of Public Relations are the results of those discussions.

Military budget / funding
This has been a topic of much discussion between JIA personnel. Many believe that there is not enough participation from Congress in this matter. The Captain of the Imperial Expeditionaries, Pete1, has said "if the congress expects her army just to sit and watch it'd be better to have not created an army in the first place" when talking about the budget in the official Military channel. He later added "people get dissappointed when they are told that they are soldiers now and then they don't get to fight at all and don't get to train at all".

Forum Bonus
This is heading towards completion now and NnK (Nihon no Koe) will be acting as civil administration in the near future to deal with all applications.

Foreign Affairs

What our Allies think of us
As you may have noted, the Ambassador from France, Yann Grapin, frequents the official eJapan IRC channel on a daily basis. The question is, what does this he think of Japan? Well I managed to extract a small statement from him earlier today and this is what he had to say:

"I want to thank e-Japanese citizens for the welcome I received on IRC. I saw our two countries have the same mentality, and I hope we’ll be able to establish very strong bounds between our people."

PEACE vs Sweden
The situation in Europe right now is such that the Japanese government does not wish to get involved at ths moment in time. If or when there is a need for Japanese assistance, Japan will coordinate efforts with other leaders of PEACE.

North Korea
There has been discussion about North Korea amoungst the Japanese people recently. The governments official attitude towards the country in question is currently neutral. We would like nothing better than to boost relations between both countries and are currently looking for an Ambassador to replace HIZUMI, who went on a journey of self discovery and hasn't been heard from since.

Military

Rules and Regulations
Things have been hectic in the JIA office recently and now that they have a loose structure to go by, they'll be reviewing rules, regulations, teams and soldiers over the next two weeks. If you're a JIA soldier and haven't applied at the JIA desk for permission to see Army-Personnel only areas, then do so now (Apply to the Army usergroup).

Training Operations
Geno Garon, the General of the Army and Secretary of Defense in Japan announced earlier today that there was some left over funding and that the JIA should get the first ever coordinated training operation under way. With those orders, Pete1 commenced with organising the operation whilst the other I.E officers messaged their teams to let them know of this development. With that, the JIA is becoming more operational and team spirit seems to be on the increase.

Business

The Government would like to ask that General Managers understand and cooperate with soldiers of the JIA when they are called to war. Please assure them their job back if they ask for it beforehand. Thank you.
