[World Echo-2] Basic Knowledge to Grow as a Player

Day 5,498, 19:15 Published in USA USA by Zur1en
Greetings to all

Lately I've felt the need to get in touch with a lot of new players and returning ones to point out some aspects that I think, having the right knowledge, could improve their playing efficiency.

Looking at the Senior Journalist mission I noticed that I was missing an article to complete it, and what better way to complete a mission than on behalf of the country and the community. It was in this context that, in contact with one our new players, POLAR50, which has been proving to be a national rising star, together we came to the conclusion that a large number of topics should be grouped into a single article to make life easier for any new or old but inexperienced player in the current context of the game.

It should be noted that my articles purposely lack images, on one hand I know that these capture the reader's attention more efficiently, but on the other hand I know that a person truly interested in self-development will read the article for the content and not for the images. This is one of the reasons, another, if you notice the articles of old players, for the most part, are not readable nowadays due to non-existent images: Text is for prosperity, images tend to render old newspaper articles useless.

After this extensive and overwhelming introduction, I will then address the topics that I have concluded are important.

Initial advice:

Energy Bars and Gold are super rare resources: Don't spend them unless absolutely necessary.

Don't upgrade anything (companies or training camps) unless it's on sale. It is better to save the gold so that you may use it when the promotions eventually appear.

Employment, Economy and Business

First of all, get a good job! This allows you to work at least 2x a day at a very competitive salary. The best markets are the US markets! An active boss will update your salary regularly and good bosses even give you some bonuses and treats in thanks for your efficiency and constant attendance.

The Game allows you to receive a maximum of 10 gold per day. There are currently 2 ways to acquire the 10 gold, one is through donations from other players (or organisations) and the other, more common, is by exchanging CC (Country Currency) for Gold. 1 gold is currently worth approximately 1000 cc, so the main objective at an economic level should be to achieve a total of more than 10,000 cc daily. In this way, you will always be able to have your 10 daily gold. To do this, get a good job, work twice with the help of the Q1 house, join a community with good aid campaigns and take advantage of government aid (The last three things I mentioned will be covered in more depth later in the article.)

All the gold you earn try to save it to create a good business base that will give you some economic stability. That would be a very comprehensive topic and maybe I'll do a more in-depth article on the topic in the near future, until then, look for a business tycoon who will explain how everything works.

Battlegrounds Types and main Medals

You have two types of battlegrounds: Ground Battles and Air Battles. A new player will NEVER be useful in a long-term ground battle, so you should always keep in mind : Your future is in air battles. To explain this, I'll contextualise:

The game made a big mistake that has been dragging on for years, and that mistake has been corrected with the addition of aerial battles. The problem of ground battles is that a player who today has 370,000 strength can train 90 strength per day, you who started today with 0 strength will also be able to train a maximum of 90 strength per day. We imagine in 5 years, the player who had 370,000 strength now has 535,000 strength and you are 165,000 strength. If today a player with 165,000 strength is considered practically useless, imagine 5 years from now.

But now comes the good news: the game guaranteed that the aerial skill (perception) will remain at 0 for prosperity, that is, a player who starts today will have the same base skill as a player who has been here since the beginning of the game, so this will always be a fairer battlefield.

Now a breakdown of medals and how I recommend you to start winning some of your own.

Medals:
There are two types of medals that you will work on farming as you level up. BattleHero (BH) medals and SkyHero (SH) medals. BH medals are earned on ground Battles and award 2 gold in D1, 3 gold in D2, 4 Gold in D3 and 5 Gold in D4. SH medals are won in the airfields and give 10 gold as a reward. Until you reach D4 my advice is to focus more on BH medals and then I will leave you with some tricks on how to maximise your efficiency.

Ground Battles:
Win as many medals as you can until you reach D4, because after that it will be practically impossible. It is necessary to spend 1 fuel on each battlefield entered, but this fuel is valid for both sides. So my advice is: If you want to win a BH, try to win 2 in the same battle. To be more efficient in this, I advise you to:

Enter a battle where no one has fought on either side. Respect those who are already in the position of a BH medal. This means don’t attack if someone else has already done damage on the side you are doing damage from, in the same way that you expect them to respect you when you are trying to farm medals.

Most of the wars that the US fights are training wars. This is so that players can constantly do damage and therefore level up their player level and battle ranks. For this to work properly we need to win some wars and lose some. So please check the national feed. Normally posted by our MOD (Minister of defence)

Fight in Training Wars and not in real Wars. When fighting in training wars make sure you keep the victory bar on the correct side, otherwise someone will steal your BH to correct your mistake. Make sure to deal more damage to the supposedly winning side so that everything is correct.

Also don't get into disputes. If someone accidentally or purposefully does more damage than you did, don’t get worked up about it, you still don't have enough damage or energy to waste fighting over a couple of gold. However, make sure you expose the dishonest and disrespectful person who did this to you with your companions of MU (Military Unit) or Party. This way, eventually someone can talk with the offender and clear up the dispute. Sometimes they are forced to do it in order to keep the battle walls in the right place, if it is the case and the person has done it on purpose, then it can be explained to you why he was forced to do it.

Don't just focus on national battles. There are battles ending all the time with no one fighting on either side, so there are constantly ending battles with no battle heroes. You can check here the current battles, when time is left to finish and if you already have or don't have a battle hero, if there are only a few minutes left to finish and the battles still don't have a hero, this is your chance.

AirBattles:
There may be a time that comes when you are limited on time and need to expel a large amount of energy or gain PP’s (Prestige Points) for a weekly challenge. This would be the time to go for a SH medal. The 2 things to keep in mind when trying to win a SH medal are:
1) Fight on the losing side of the war.
2) Be the first person to do damage.
There is an unwritten rule that you should try to do a minimum of 40k/50k damage for the SH medal. This is why for new players it will take your full energy bar to do so.

Battle, Campaign and War

A battle is one of the rounds within a campaign and ends when one of the sides reaches 1800 points. If the losing side does not score points, the battle will be 1h:30m long, if the losing side scores points there is a quick way to calculate it, which is very well explained in this article that I will use to make it easier.

A campaign is the set of battles fought in a given region and a total of 150 campaign points will be required to win a campaign. Campaigns last from 12 to 28 hours depending on how many battles are needed to get enough points to win. The winner is the side which first obtains 150 campaign points in total and will get to attack next in the war. Every campaign has 8 to 17 rounds which last between 1h30m to 2h depending on how dominant one side is. Each round has 4 ground battles (division 1 to 4) and 1 aircraft battle. A victory awards 1 point for D1, 2 for D2, 3 for D3, 5 for D4, and 7 points for Air Battle. If any of these do enough damage to become an “epic” battle then the points gained will be doubled as well as BH or SH rewards.

A war is the successive set of campaigns between two countries in various regions. It ends when there is no longer a border between the two countries (this includes if one of the countries ran out of regions) or when an end-of-war pact is signed. The side proposing the pact will still be able to propose monetary compensation and the other side will have a congressional vote to decide whether or not to accept the terms.

In a region dominated by another country, a war of Resistance can break out. For this, it is necessary that 10 players, of at least Lv25, travel to that region and pay 1,000 cc. If the resistance is successful, each of these players wins a Resistance Hero medal that gives them 5 gold. If the oppressor wins and keeps the region, those 10 players will be unable to support another war of resistance for 7 days. The more time a region spends under the domain of a country, other than its original owner, the more the region will gain determination and that will increase the bonus of influence. That means that releasing the region from its oppressor will get easier. For example, if the level of determination reaches a point where there is, for example, a bonus of 2.5x influence, if one side deals 250,000 damage and the other, with 2.5x influence, only deals 100,000 damage, even with lower damage, the bars of influence remain tied (assuming all attackers are of the same rank).

The determination bonus only multiplies your influence, NOT your damage and rank points and influence from bombs or rockets will NOT be multiplied by the determination bonus

FAQ
Why did I deal more damage and we are losing the battle?
The answer is simple. To prevent newly created accounts from being able to influence battles, up to a certain military rank, only a percentage of your damage will be transformed into battle influence. You can consult the Ground Rank and Aircraft Rank tables for more information.

How to be efficient in using the house system

In 1948, the United States signed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights recognizing adequate housing as a component of human rights. The same is true also in eRepublik, housing is one of the foundations today for a good game for every citizen.

If you want to make as much profit as possible, activate only the Q1 house. It will be the most profitable way to use the house system and will have 100 more energy and +2 energy regeneration. If you want to have more energy but without loss (there will be profit, but little) You can have Q1 and Q2 houses active, this will give you +260 energy and +4 regeneration.

Let's make a very general calculation (without taking into account activation fees or time extensions for houses by status of residence). Bearing in mind that each house gives 1 work ticket per hour and every overtime work costs 24 tickets, it can be said that in general one house gives 1 extra working shift per day.

If a job earns us approx 4k cc and a Q1 house costs approx 17k cc.
Then a Q1 house will yield approx 28k cc per week. (7 extra work shifts x 4k CC per day)
Therefore, each week you will net appx (28k-17k=9k) 9k CC from owning a Q1 house.
This is a huge difference compared to the price of the house. We can say that it covers the activation fee well and still makes a good profit.

Going back to the situation, when using the Q1 and Q2 houses approximations:

(Q1) 17k + (Q2) 36k = 53k
Working 14 overtime shifts x 4k cc = 56k CC
Therefore, 56k-53k = 3k profit for +260 energy and +4 regeneration/6min.

Now whichever option you choose, keep one thing in mind :your place of residence influences the duration of your houses. Therefore, my advice is to choose, whenever possible, a residence with less than 50 inhabitants. If yours has more or is close to reaching change before activating a new house, it's good for you and help the other residents, because they all suffer or benefit from the population of their city of residence. A basic trick is also to activate a house only when the other ends or is about to end, this way you can always reanalyze your place of residence before activating again.

NOW YOU DECIDE: Do you prefer more weekly profit or more energy and weekly regeneration? Whatever your decision is Q1 or Q1 and Q2 you won't be losing money, so go ahead! Always take advantage of the house system, ALWAYS!

Using the training Grounds system sustainably:

We have seen that Strength for a new player will never be a relevant factor as mentioned earlier in the topic of battlefields. So be smart, try to minimise the amount of money wasted on training. I will give some data regarding what I have just said, and I will leave the final decision up to you.

We have 4 different training grounds: let’s call it TG1, TG2, TG3 and TG4. The TG1 is the free, TG2 is 0.19 gold, TG3 is 0.89 gold and TG4 is the 1.79 gold per training session. You can find them here. The price is the same regardless of the level of upgrade. The only thing that changes the price is the training contracts that appear on the itemshop. There are 2 types of contracts, the 50% one and the 90% one and they cost 25 gold and 53 gold respectively and they last for 30 days. The next exemples already contemple that price

Ways to Train That Give Profit
TG1 Lv1 - 3 Gold Monthly Profit
TG1 Lv2 - 6 Gold Monthly Profit
TG1 Lv3 - 9 Gold Monthly Profit
TG1 Lv4 - 12 Gold Monthly Profit
TG1 Lv4 + TG2 Lv4 - 12.30 Gold Monthly Profit

Smart ways to train with just a little loss
TG1, 2 and 4 all Lv4 with 50% Contract - 12.7 Gold Monthly Loss
TG1, 2, 3 and 4 all Lv4 with 90% Contract - 7.61 Gold Monthly Loss

Common ways to make serious mistakes:
Forgetting to activate the 90% contract when you have all four TG at Lv 4: The monthly loss goes from 7.61 to 32.1 gold.
Mistake of not activating the 50% contract when you have TG1, 2 and 4 to the maximum, the loss changes from 12.7 to 17.40 gold.

Also, as I said before, do not upgrade your fields unless there is a promotion. Promotions normally happen every other month. Promotions usually cut the upgrade prices in half. Saving you much needed gold for other objectives. If you do not have enough gold to upgrade all of them, the order of upgrading is TG1->TG2->TG4->TG3 to be able to use the contracts explained before: TG124 with 50% contract or TG1234 with 90% contract. If you are able to upgrade them all at the same time, that’s perfect, but use only the 1 and 2 till you sign the 90% contract, only then start using the 3 and 4.

Play well with your Training fields in conjunction with training contracts, do your experiments on this calculator.

Other good news: When you reach lvl 200 all training grounds are free, so you only pay for training until you reach lvl 200 and complete the Lvl200 Mission.

Finding the Correct MU (Military Unit) and Party for you

Military Units and Parties can make a big difference in your everyday life, especially regarding the aid campaigns they have. Find out about the various conditions of the various entities and try to find the one that best suits you.

I could even talk about the Rough Riders party and all the fantastic conditions it has for you, conditions that I mentioned in this article, but as this is a completely non-partisan article, I will not.

Government Programs

Try to take advantage of government aid. Currently there is the GIMP program in USA that gives a great weekly help in CC as an incentive for the Air Rank development of new players.

Game Events

Events make the game livelier and players more active. for some a way to gain more resources, for others a way to spend them: but one thing is for sure, they are super fun and each one has a different purpose. You can consult past events B I T E R ’s newspaper and if you add him as a friend and pay attention to the news feed, you will be able to stay up to date with all the news about future events as well.

ClopoyaurTV Stream

Despite being strange and unexpected, yes, there is someone who managed to see content to stream inside this game! Not only are hours super well spent watching, but they are super interactive streams where you can win fantastic prizes that will help you a lot in the game. So, add Clopoyaur as a friend and follow ClopoyaurTV on Twitch. You will not regret it and you will be surprisingly pleased!

The article is already long and maybe there are still so many topics to be addressed, this game is super complex and sometimes just the experience, the error too, and of course the advice of the active communities in which we introduce ourselves will make us the best players.

Remember, this is a community game, play in a community, make friends, learn things not only about the game but about the world, grab the knowledge and take it into your life... and above all, have fun!

I will end by thanking once again to POLAR50 for all the essential help he gave me to write this article, he deserves all your praise, so if you are reading this article up to this point, he is also the one you should thank: a newbie with the desire to win in this game and who deserves all your help and praise, so, feel free to send him a friend request and a Thank You-Gift in recognition.

The good thing about being written in English is that it can reach every corner of the world and help every newbie, so help me and share the article, because the more you share, the more newbies you will be helping!
