State of the Markets Report - 20/12

Being an overview of the domestic eUK markets in the past week

Summary
Its been an interesting week with the admins making some big changes to the economy module. The main one being the introduction of a 25% company manager's citizenship bonus. 'This bonus offers a +25% extra production to all the companies that are owned directly by a Citizen (not Organization) and are located in the citizen's citizenship country.'
It is also no longer possible to buy orgs, buy company's with existing orgs and only citizens can buy company's - only in a country they have citizenship in. This seems to be part of a bigger plan by the admins to phase out orgs altogether. Government org's are exempt from this at the moment but don't get the 25% bonus.

Current company bonuses
Iron +25% (after regaining Wales)
Oil +25%
Food +10%

Wages - Up
eUK Wage History

1: Raw company’s offered migration
2: 25% citizen owned company bonus introduced
Although up for the week, wages have declined since the latest admin changes. Most likely due to co-op/org based companies firing staff and non-UK citizens transferring company's to there citizen accounts for the bonus. It may imply that more company's have moved out of the UK than moved in.

UK skill 9 wage comparison (g)
- UK 0.48
- USA 0.59
- Canada 0.53
- Ireland 0.26
- Poland 0.59
- Serbia 0.75

Products
Raw Price History

With so many UK Grain companies, prices are falling as they produce 25% more.

Weapons - Up
Still fairly useless, unless you’re planning on fighting the maximum amount of times with food, and still want (and can afford) to increase your influence. The most economical way to fight is to use food to replenish your wellness; if -and only if- you’re using the maximum 300 and you still want to do more damage, buy only the highest Q weapons.

Over the past week,
- Q1/2 Weapon prices have risen by ~25% with higher Q weapons unchanged
- Best price for 100% influence bonus with weapons (equivalent to 1 fight with no weapon) = 0.24g – 0.25g (Global best - 0.22g)
- Comparison cost of 10 wellness with food = 0.10g – 0.12
- Weapons under Q3 have a 100% influence bonus cost of over 0.5g, which actually makes the Health Kits a cheaper alternative.

Food - Up
Prices are rising with wellness/gold today at an all time low of 84
Weekly average of 88 wellness/gold, up from the end of last week (105)

Wellness/gold comparison (based on Q1 food only - API still not working)
- USA 92
- Canada 80
- Ireland 80
- Poland 97
- Serbia 75

Houses
Unchanged, they remain a cheaper alternative to food in recovering wellness above Q2.

Moving Tickets
Remains consistent with fairly reasonable Q2/Q3 prices.

Conclusion
It's difficult to predict the outcome of these latest changes as it's unclear how many company's are being transferred in and out of the UK to citizen accounts. A good sign is that grain prices are falling, which should have an positive effect on food prices, but at the same time wages are declining. So who knows?
