[MoIA] Congressional Elections

Day 1,008, 18:58 Published in Japan Japan by Japanese Interior Service

Citizens,

Tomorrow, eRep Day 1009 (Wednesday, August 25th) will be another congressional election. In a typical election month citizens will post on their party forums or speak with their party leader in IRC to become an "official" candidate - that is, a candidate who is running with the support of their party.

Every month a small handful of individuals will declare candidacy without such graces from their party leadership, becoming an unofficial candidate. To prevent this, blockers are often employed or in worst case scenarios, the election commission will block them out of the race by voting for other local candidates.

This month we have a problem. Around 20 unauthorized candidates are running for congress, taking up positions in all of Japan's top 5 parties. As such, it is imperative that citizens view the official candidate lists of each party before voting. Please vote on the 25th, just make sure you're voting for a true eJapanese.
