[MDP] November Congressional Ballot

Day 2,193, 11:45 Published in Canada Canada by Connor MacLeod

The October term of Congress started very quietly. The Addy Lawrence term was quietly winding it's way down and congress was enthralled with welcoming some friends over for a sleep over in Western Canada.

What weighty issues have Congress been concerned with this month? There have been precisely 7 votes to date this month. Discounting the procedural Speaker and Budget votes that leaves 5 issues Congress has debated and cast lots for all to see. What were the topics pray tell? 4 of the votes were regarding the recent Black List legislation passed. Leo Balzac was not, Dr. Manhattan was, Dr. Manhattan was not overturned, and the amendment proposed by JonathonEdwards was not passed. The other topic? Banning the CPP for improper conduct (use of multis). There is yet one final amendment to the Black List that appears to be working it's way through congress and may yet be voted on before the end of the term. The remaining time went to debating whether to string up myself and original eCanadian Hero and Patriot, Rolo Tahmasee, for actively supporting the RW that returned our maritime provinces to us.

Heady stuff in deed.

I'm happy to report that the MDP was there for all the events this month. Our party was the only party to have all it's members report to the forums for voting. The MDP also registered the highest percentage of participation in all votes with our congress people voting 81% of the time. The MDP was also the only party to register 100% of it's congress members to participate in a called vote (happened 3 times).

I'm proud of the work the party has accomplished this month and if you wish to keep active citizens involved in the running of the country I encourage you to return as many MDP members to congress as possible.

Simply put, the MDP gets shit done.
