The Current State of eSwiss Politics

Day 5,367, 09:57 Published in Switzerland Ireland by OogieBoogie3

It's no secret at this point that I have been gone and disconnected from society for some time, but I'm smelling some division and silence that has me just a little bit perplexed.

At a glance, there doesn't seem to be anything particularly polarizing or controversial about the sitting government. All seems to be quiet and peaceful, the economy on paper at least seems to be running at an acceptable level, and we remain neutral out of the world's conflicts - aside from friendly war games that is.

> So what exactly is going on?

The current administration from pep_369 seems to be pretty rudimentary and without controversy. I'd argue a more vocal government is a more open and faithful government, but he appears to have the support of multiple political parties, including the Swiss Freedom Party where I currently align. There doesn't appear to be any real dissent, at least on the surface or at face value.

I've experienced some pretty shitty and corrupt administrations in my day, from North Korea to Bosnia & Herzegovina. Governments that served their own interests and made it a chore to strike down dissent and opposition with pretty extreme prejudice. I'm not seeing anything of the sort here.

So my question to SOME people here in Switzerland would be: What is the status quo that needs to be reformed? And what is the "establishment" that needs to be overthrown?

I could just be naïve and out of the loop, but I will remain a neutral mediator in these matters. The parties mentioned will remain unnamed (but everyone likely knows who they are). I just wish to know more about the current state of Swiss government and politics, because at least at a glance, everything at least appears to be functional and without meaningful controversy. I'm hearing a lot of buzzwords thrown around without any sort of platform or basis of evidence to reinforce such opinions. As a seasoned opposition leader, I've made a career of pointing out the flaws, short-comings, and outright failures of an administration and status-quo. I wish to know more about the dissenting minority and their concerns. Once we have established the short comings of said administration, we must mobile and generate a platform against the sitting administration. We achieve very little by being stagnant and complacent.

This might lean a little to cryptic for some. Feel free to DM me if you wish you discuss things more freely.
