Leroy's Rant
Leroy Combs
I want to say right up front this is just the rant of an old player who has done the political thing and found a better use of my time. I'm not speaking for the military or the administration. I'm not here to single anyone out but to make some observations(and you probably know I'm not much of a writer).
I've not taken part in the whole primary system debate and I'm sorry I didn't. Our country is in dire trouble right now and one of our best remaining weapons that could save us and create a dominant country is being taken away by the party over country BS. Yes party's can be important but the can also be the death of our country. Hungary has over 1,300 mobile voters, I had at most 125 while I was CIA director, it is no coincidence that Hungary now runs between 4 and 5 country's all working against us and we have no country's we can control (I'm not saying I want to control other country's) we have no Austria to sign MMP's of death for other country's.
The one thing the US has is size, and most of the resources we need to be a dominant world power. Do you know what is holding us back more then anything else? The petty party politics we practice for nothing more then ego's. I hope it isn't' to late to fix this but I'm not hopeful, unless we can get a candidate slate and over a 1,000 mobile voters to help our neighbors and take back country's that want no part of PEACE but are trapped by TO or the threat of TO we may be doomed.
As I see it the primary system will help by providing:
fully vetted active candidates
candidate selected by the most active players in our country
the ability for the U.S. to maximize it's ability to influence the world
that the bulk of the election process will be moved to the forums where some of the more active/experienced players participate
Disadvantages of a primary system:
May keep younger players from the ballot
depending on how the candidates are selected my stifle so legitimate debate
Party's must put aside their ego's and do what is right for the U.S. and they must to it now!

Completely agree.
Well said, Leroy.
I agree too.
This has to change
Agreed. Well said.
Stand up for your democracy USA! Don't let the elite at the top take it away to further their own power!
Love it, Leroy
I have not voted in a single US election!!!
Save our allies!!!
I love Leroy.
The weaponized vote...
When a single click can do more damage than any Q5.
Well said Leroy!
Great article!
michael collins you brainwashed your whole nation, nough said.
Funny of you to post here Collins, I remember when you were posting auto fight links in shouts that caused Americans to fight on the wrong side of an RW in the Mexican war.
Good article, Leroy.
yeah, that was pretty cool
Ditto.
*Self-censors post insulting to opposition*
Voted.
Voted for Truthiness. I hope people listen.
Hungary threw at least 1,300 votes into Croatia and effectively dismembered a good ally of ours in the last Congressional election. The eUSAF cannot possibly stand up to those kinds of numbers. What did we do? We cast 500+ votes in New Jersey and 800+ votes in Florida for foregone conclusions. If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention.
Good article Leroy!
Notice: defenders of the internal primary and the Congressional election freeze are all high xp players who stand to benefit the most. They get their medals over and over again - they get to cherry pick the candidates...
It is just cronyism!
@comandantedavid - wrong. Obviously you haven't read the plan. There is no plan to automatically return incumbents to their seat.
Well said, Leroy!
This is rant is Harlot approved.
How would it work? Right now I think it is a bad idea.
Ranty and truthy. Voted.
Leroy, while I respect all the military guys and your opinions, I think you all are making some very wrong assumptions to say that those who oppose the national primary and seat freeze systems are engaging in party politics or are defending real-life political ideology. I am all for the defense of our nation and stopping PTO's, I simply believe that this is the wrong method to accomplish that end. That does not make me unpatriotic or partisan, and I take offense to the fact that the military is joining in on making that accusation.
It is illogical to defend a radical political maneuver such as vote-freezing simply by shouting, "Be unified!" There are other ways of preventing PTO's and freeing up votes that do not take away the citizen's right to vote for the candidate of their choice, and I think they ought to be considered. Pretending that this vote freeze is the only way to go forward is short-sighted and narrow-minded.
