Editor’s Note: While most Government publications are a reflection of that government’s relationship with the citizens, the Pony Express is a reflection of the citizens’ relationship with each other as a community.

The Pony Express has a long history of two things: 1, its purpose has been and remains as a review of the previous week’s media, and 2, struggling in the rankings.
“Switch gears, change it up, try again” is practically our motto here at the Pony Express.

The last two editions had plenty of content to work with, really, enough to not need the elaborate wraparound.
This week you get Last Week’s News Now… clean.

The new “bar of excellence” appears to be 30 article votes.
If you can crack 30 without a dedicated voting bloc behind you, you’re doing something right.

eRep generally drops articles off its Top and Latest pages after 6 days, with the notable exception of articles with crazy high Votes. Some articles posted in New Player, Warfare and Financial last longer, but with no discernable consistency.

Here’s the Latest page of US media. Everything published in the past week is right there.
The Pony Express features and reviews what interests or impresses the Editor.

WHPR published Initiative #2, War Map, Knowledge, featuring veteran Press Corps writers Phenix Quinn and Cthulhu (A_A).
Top story is Initiative #2, to Donate to the GIMP Program. The goal is 2.5 million cc; as of this writing we’ve sent in under half a mil.

President Custer finally published one, focusing on National Initiatives : What and Why.

logan Dunleavy published an interview with the President, entitled An Interview with The President. I’ve interviewed a few Presidents, myself, it was kinda weird being on the other side of the pen this time.

Paul Proteus wrote a really nice slightly biased tutorial, How to Succeed at Politics Without Really Trying.
And a noob literally copy/pasted it as his own in his first article. Negative mention, no link.

Wilker Nash is running a Writing Contest . The deadline is Sunday March 19. 50k cc prize!
Wilker also published [Book Analysis] Fight Club: Expression of a Generation. Brain food. A nice piece of RL to bring to the game and share.

NASA intercepted another transmission from the galactic barrier, a particularly perplexing entry from Punkinette. This time he weak-trolls The President directly in To help the clown who was elected cp understand.

Congress is always a fun and happy place, and you can join into many of their interesting Discussions at the #congress-pubic channel on Discord.
They just Approved and authorized me to activate the automated New Citizens Message new players get as their first game mail.

And.. one final note.
Beer and Bribes failed to make it as a Budget Line. I’m declining private offers to cover it.
The 5100cc is not the point. Giving crappy little cash prizes is not the point.
Recognizing and spotlighting writers for better efforts doesn’t need participation awards.
Y’all have done a great job these past few weeks, and I look forward to continuing to feature here those writers I feel are putting real effort into their work.

The National Initiatives are intended to bring us out of our homes, to shovel our own and a couple neighbors’ sidewalks, to introduce ourselves to the new neighbors, to look around and see what’s needed and see if we can do that.

While the first two have been about giving, Initiative #3 is about receiving.
It will be held Live on Discord next Monday at Noon eRep Time. Monday’s WHPR will have a link to an external page with details.
Initiative #3 is a fundraiser event. The event is limited to eUS citizens.
All proceeds— the gross— go to the Department of Interior for their Food program.

Get the paper early, prepare yourself, and be ready at game time.
It will happen fast.

Kickstart the Media.
Every keystroke counts.

Oh, and, Shout this around :
