eRepublik is a game - a game that offers all sorts of ways for different players to enjoy playing in different ways.
Some people enjoy being in parties, some enjoy TUP, some TRS and so on. eRepublik lets people run for President, Congress, etc.
Running for President however does not give sitting cabinet members the right to hurl abuse at you for weeks. Neither does it justify the Vice President posting over 100 (often expletive laden) messages in the Congress thread and attacking people who challenge his behaviour or even reach out to ask if he is ok.
No one should feel the need to react that way to a game, no one playing a game should have to endure it.
Neither should any player have to receive that expletive and slur laden abuse directly into their inbox.
You may think this doesn’t need saying - but here we are. On thursday night I banned Sir Humphrey Appleby from the TRS discord channel for drunkenly demanding to see our party policies - multiple times. This it transpires is a continuation of something he has been hounding AMD about for weeks.
Little did I know that this was the start of a toxic tirade, and between thursday and saturday nights I would end up with at least 4 different people telling me they had since received angry messages of nonsense and abuse from SHA - including the use of homophobic slurs - and that had also spilled into public discussions in comments, feeds and in Congress. Sometimes directed at people, sometimes directed at who-knows-what.
I am not the only person who knows this has taken place. Huey George has been given all the information I have, if not more, and quicker than I was given it. The silence from him about this behaviour - in private, in Congress, in Feeds, in Articles, is deafening. It is disappointing.
In the absence of any Leadership on this matter I am going to stick my neck out and say unequivocally that no one should have to be on the receiving end of that behaviour. SHA owes a lot of people apologies, and Huey should not have sat around watching his vice President say it all. If you have been sent anything you think was not ok, report it.
Back in the day when the eUK’s community was friendly and thriving, I would have sacked a Cabinet member in moments if they behaved like that. I would not have allowed one person to to make members of this community feel targeted, bullied and unwelcome.
The eUK should and must remain a welcoming and nice place for all players, no matter who they are. If you agree, sign this feed petition.

For all the spam they inflict on everyone else, TRS are complete paperweights when you decline their poaching...
'poaching' being the message I sent you five weeks ago saying you'd be welcome to join if you were interested? Yes I am sure that's what this has been about ...
Maybe this will be what unites the whole community - abuse, hounding and slurs against minorities will never be tolerated or overlooked.

The eUK is a wonderful community and has been for years. It's been so upsetting to see someone who was so highly regarded attempt to ruin this.
The silence from the upper government was very damming to their credibility in my opinion
Meanwhile - the noise from the TRS gang is relentless.
Can we all take a deep breath - and relax for a while, before firing off a wall of spam

Agree totally.
Unfortunately, if anyone makes a comment that even remotely reflects negatively on Spam, he better be prepared for a series of gang-harrassing articles and ridiculing comments from Spam - some bordering on outright abuse.
Spam has developed (or it had since its inception) a bad habit of gang-harrassing articles and comments.
I am not the greatest of writers, but my articles are not published in UK anymore, instead they are usually well received in other countries.
Where are these harassing articles?
Personally I do not enjoy the continual bombardment of TRS articles, TRS have definitely reduced my enjoyment of the game. It is noticeable that if anyone makes a negative comment of TRS several TRS members will almost immediately reply saying its nonsense.

The link has been censored as it to is offensive.

This is hardly a new thing, but when I was CP back in the day I was subject to this very thing (especially from congress critters) just for having the audacity to be a female CP. I'm just glad someone is speaking up against this behaviour this time 🙂
