Player Questions - Intro

The Department for Education thought it'd be benefical to start a "Players Questions" series inspired by a question from an eUK legend and stalwart htb, asked for the benefit of our newer players

Official Erepublik Wiki source - https://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/Travel

So in summary when moving you use

a moving ticket, if you have one that allows you to cover the distance of the trip

or you pay with local currency for the price of: 10 CC per every 100 kilometres; minimum cost is 20 CC.

Moving tickets will allow distances based on their quality, each quality providing 1000km of travel range. Multiple tickets will be used if necessary.

Travel range of tickets:

Q1 Tickets: 1000 km
Q2 Tickets: 2000 km
Q3 Tickets: 3000 km
Q4 Tickets: 4000 km
Q5 Tickets: 5000 km

UK example! Traveling from North East of England to Scotland - 147Km.

You can pay by using one of the following 6 combinations:

1x Q1 Moving tickets - Current lowest market price !!4500cc!! OR
1x Q2 Moving ticket - Current lowest market price !!3800cc!! OR
1x Q3 Moving ticket - Current lowest market price !!3800cc!! OR
1x Q4 Moving ticket - Current lowest market price !!3500cc!! OR
1x Q5 Moving ticket - Current lowest market price 275cc OR
\o/ 20cc \o/

It's clear in this example your preference should be to use 'currency when travelling'.

Q1-Q4 are overvalued as there is no new supply of them so should be avoided unless you want to hold onto a piece of Erep nostaglia.

Q5 tickets are obtained as weekly challenge rewards (or purchased) and can save you lots of currency when traveling long distances i.e. say you wanted to visit our TW partners in New Zealand

So as a new player (or old) you should give consideration of when and how you use your Q5 tickets o/

So as htb states in his questions whether you pay currency or use a Moving Ticket (if available) is controlled by a toggle found under Game Options titled 'Prefer currency when travelling' So please consider sliding this to on if it's not already
